My email address is: firstname.lastname@example.org
I was born in New Zealand and spent most of my formative years in Malaysia before returning to New Zealand in 2008. Having lived in one of the most diverse countries in Asia, I have a great understanding for different cultures and love meeting people from all walks of life. I also speak Mandarin and Malay.
In 2014, I graduated from the University of Canterbury with a Bachelor of Laws and Arts (majoring in Media & Communication and Psychology) and was admitted to the High Court of New Zealand in 2015. During my time at university, I volunteered at the local community law centre which opened my eyes towards the issues surrounding access to justice, especially for those disadvantaged. This really drove home the reason that I decided to study law – to help people achieve justice.
This personal ethos led me to start my career in the frontlines at the Nelson Bays Community Law Centre prior to joining Zindels, providing the most vulnerable people in our community with legal assistance. I enjoy the variety of work that comes from general practice and providing clients with practical advice to assist them with resolving even the trickiest situation.
At present, my main areas of practice are Immigration, Employment and ACC Law. In terms of Immigration Law, I am especially focused in refugee family reunification categories. I am also expanding my practice towards Family and Criminal Law.
In my spare time you will find me in my kitchen whipping up a cake or Malaysian feast.
