Personal Statement
I have been a staff solicitor at Zindels for three years. I work across a variety of areas of law, including criminal, family, ACC and estates.
Before coming to sunny Nelson, I studied Law, Sociology and Art History at Victoria University in Wellington. I was admitted to the Bar in 2019. My first legal job was in Christchurch as a researcher for a project focusing on the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi. I then moved to Nelson to work at Zindels in 2020. I am interested in health law and since being in Nelson I have also been studying part time towards a Masters of Bioethics and Health Law.
In my work at Zindels, I see every day how stressful and isolating the justice process can be for those going through it. In my role as an advocate, I aim to listen, to be supportive and to provide clear and effective legal advice to help clients navigate the system and have their voices heard and stories told.
I feel lucky to be working at a firm with fantastic colleagues and a strong commitment to access to justice and quality legal representation for all.
